Old is gold, and sometimes, it’s exactly what your Netflix queue needs.
And right now, these are the ones doing it for us.
Younger
Younger, is exactly the kind of show you reach for when your brain is tired but your mood still wants something fun – applies even to your male S/O’s.
Short episodes, sharp dialogue, fashion moments, and storylines that don’t drag, it’s binge-friendly in the best way.
Younger doesn’t try to be deep prestige TV, and that’s its strength.
It’s about reinvention, fighting ageism, ambition, friendships, extremely messy relationships, and figuring things out as you go.
And yes, Hilary Duff is a huge reason to press play. She’s charming and effortlessly watchable. Who doesn’t love her?
But, this time around, we really think Diana Trout (DeLuca?) makes it.
Cashero
Cashero is a K-drama takes the superhero genre and flips it in a way that’s, maybe somewhat in a fictional world, relatable.
The premise is simple and clever, the main character only has superpowers when he has cash on him. Spend the money, lose the power – literally.
Reviews have called it quirky, creative, and surprisingly thoughtful beneath the action.
It’s not just about fighting bad guys; it’s about everyday choices, financial pressure, and what it actually costs to do the “right thing.” The humour is just right, the pacing keeps things moving, and the concept does the job.
It doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it an easy watch, but there’s enough heart to stop it from feeling shallow.
The Lincoln Lawyer
If you’re in the mood for something sharper, The Lincoln Lawyer delivers.
It’s slick, well-paced, and built for bingeing.
Each case pulls you in quickly, and just when you think you’ve figured things out, it pivots, cause why not.
What reviewers consistently point out is how watchable it is with strong performances, just enough legal drama without drowning you in jargon, and storylines that balance personal stakes with courtroom tension.
It’s clever without being exhausting, dramatic without being overdone iykyk.
Personal Preference, Not a Review
Worth noting, we’re not movie critics and we don’t go deeper than what’s enjoyable and this is list of personal preference because sometimes you just want shows that are entertaining and easy to commit to.
