We’re off to see the Wizard! Universal Studios Singapore transformed into the Emerald City on 13 November 2025.
The Asia-Pacific premiere of Wicked: For Good marked the fourth stop of the film’s five-city global premiere tour, bringing Oscar nominees Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, pop culture icon Jeff Goldblum, and director Jon M. Chu down the iconic yellow brick road at USS.
Singapore was the only Asian stop on this tour, in all honesty, sad for the rest of us (they keep hogging all the good stuff!). But still, the cast absolutely understood the assignment.
Cynthia Erivo

Our star of the show, the Wicked Witch herself!
Continuing the whole witch theme, Cynthia chose a black strapless gown with statement earrings for the premiere, and she makes something so simple on paper absolutely pop.
That corset carved out her silhouette with an intensity that screamed Vivienne Westwood, while the sheer panels and dramatic drapery added layers of visual intrigue.
It was the kind of dress that reveals more the longer you look at it, powerful, intricate, and absolutely unforgettable.
Not to mention, the strapless look just emphasised her incredibly toned, shapely arms.
We can’t wait till she destroys us with No Good Deed in the climax!
Ariana Grande

We love the way she makes us feel!
Ariana served not one but TWO breathtaking looks.
Her main yellow carpet moment was a custom Thom Browne gown that paid tribute to every Glinda who came before her.
It incorporated blue and sparkles like Lena Horne’s Glinda while including touches of pink honouring the original Billie Burke’s iconic dress, all wrapped up in whimsical tulle sleeves that brought extra magic.
Later in the evening, she switched into a custom Balenciaga number in that perfect bubblegum pink we’ve come to associate with Glinda.
When you’re a pop princess, you never do anything halfway.
Michelle Yeoh

The woman, the myth, the legend, our very own hometown hero, Michelle Yeoh is back!
Our Oscar-winning queen who plays Madame Morrible, noticeably shed her iconic long inky black hair for a bold new blonde bob cut on the yellow carpet.
I mean, we’re not complaining. She can slay any look she wishes and if you are familiar with some of her other works, you know we mean that literally!
As for her outfit, she was just dazzling in an Iris Van Herpen Fall 2025 Haute Couture Biolume corset gown that can only be described as “how does this even exist?”
The entire look was sculptural, surreal, and entirely befitting someone playing Madame Morrible. The woman knows how to bring drama.
Jeff Goldblum

And that’s how we begin, the Wizard and us!
Jess Goldblum wore a Saint Laurent tuxedo and made a style statement with a dramatic feathered coat.
Because, of course, Jeff Goldblum showed up in a feathered cape. Would we expect anything less from the man who’s been a style icon since before most of us were born?
He might have been the most photographed person on that carpet aside from Ariana and Cynthia, and for obvious reasons.
We loved him as chaos theorist Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park, and we still love him as the Wizard. Life, uh, finds a way.
Cynthia and Ari: BFF Goals

Cynthia and Ariana’s friendship has been the gift that keeps on giving throughout this entire press tour.
As Cynthia explained during a Canva Uncharted event, there’s a wonderful synergy when working with someone who gets it.
They can look in each other’s eyes and know exactly what the other needs without having to say it.
During a TODAY interview, Ariana shared a story about filming the second movie when Cynthia yelled “WHAT!” in the middle of a take because she liked something Ariana did vocally.
Ariana called it “the best day of my life,” while Cynthia admitted she can’t contain herself when Ariana does something she really likes, she verbally has to express herself.
Cynthia and Ariana have shown us what it means to really show up for each other, both in the big dramatic moments and the small ones.
They’ve honored the legacy of the performers who came before them while making these roles completely their own. And they’ve done it all while looking absolutely fabulous in custom couture that would make even the Wizard jealous.
Wicked: For Good hits cinemas on November 20, 2025, and if the premiere is any indication, we’re in for something magical!
