It started on top of a mountain and ended with a ballroom full of cheers.
On 10 October, Syed Saddiq said “aku terima nikahnya” in a single breath on Level 118 of Menara Merdeka Maybank, high above Kuala Lumpur.
And just like that, BASS, as fans have long called Bella Astillah and Syed Saddiq, were officially husband and wife. Bella’s father was her wali, and former Federal Territories Mufti Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri led the ceremony.
The hantaran carried plenty of meaning. Syed Saddiq’s seven trays were answered with nine from Bella’s family, and they included RM100,000 in EPF savings and an umrah package.
The most touching piece was a gold keepsake shaped like Mount Kinabalu, the place where he proposed.
Eight days later, 18 October, the celebration got bigger. MITEC in Kuala Lumpur welcomed 3,000 guests for what many are calling the wedding of the year.

The night ended with a surprise. Bella sang “Bersama Aku Setia Selamanya,” a brand-new song written for her husband by Hael Husaini.
Now the family is settling into a new chapter, with Bella and the kids moving into Syed Saddiq’s home.
And there is more to celebrate.

On 25 October, the couple is hosting a “kenduri rakyat” in Muar, open to everyone.
They’ll be giving out over RM300,000 worth of daily essentials to families in need, with 10,000 doorgifts prepared for the community events in Muar and Kota Kinabalu. Fans who couldn’t make it to KL can still join the party.
Congratulations to the newlyweds. Semoga bahagia hingga ke Jannah.
